Dr. Tinsman and his staff are the best. Dr. Tinsman really takes the time to answer any question you might have and not make you feel like he's already moved on to the next patient. If I call in with questions, if his nurses can't answer the question, they will get back to me very quickly after talking with the Dr. In fact, if they can catch Dr. Tinsman in the hall while I have been on the phone, they have me speak to him directly. And, he once again has never made me feel as though I am making him 'off schedule'. He has a very approachable demeanor and great bedside manner.
Thankfully I was referred to Dr. Tinsman by my GP due to heavy bleeding, long-lasting periods. This was June of 2011. Since then, Dr. Tinsman has been following my case with frequent followups. In November of 2011, he found that I had a uterine polyp that needed to be removed and biopsied. It came back benign. In April 2012, followup showed uterine fibroid on ultrasound. Pap results came back suspicious so he did a endometrial biopsy. Results came back benign. In October 2012, followup up with ultrasound, pap and uterine biopsy. Results showed Complex Endometrial Hyperplasia with Atypia. Decided at the time a hysterectomy is in order. But did not want to schedule until he had further information. Dr. Tinsman wanted a more extensive biopsy and performed a hystoscopy (??) with D&C. Results were the same CEHwA. He wanted to perform the DaVinci hysterectomy so that is scheduled for November 27th.
I feel he has been very proactive and attentive to my case. He has a true concern for his patients. One thing I really like about him, if he feels its 'horse pucky' so to speak, he will let you know. If he feels you should be concerned, he will let you know.
Was it helpful to you?
