I have suffered from severe vertigo for the past 8 years, and had previously been unsuccessful in diagnosing the problem. Dr. Vris correctly identfied the problem as a problem with the round window membrane in the inner ear and suggested micro-surgery to reinforce the membrane with fatty tissue from my ear lobe. The surgery which lasted 30 minutes has successfully corrected the problem, and eliminated the vertigo. This condition is apparently very difficult to diagnose but is treatable, with minimum discomfort.
