I found Dr. Winchester through a friend who works at a local hospital. I have had severe endometriosis with several surgeries and failed conservative treatment options. My past physician was a male and was basically saying I needed to be "castrated". He was not very enthusiastic about trying anything else conservative and pretty much said to either have the surgery or "live with the pain and symptoms." He was also very rude to my husband after a previous surgery. I switched to Dr. Winchester, a female physician, not expecting much difference. While Dr. Winchester said I would definitely benefit from a TAH and BSO, she discused the new problems I would be encountering like surgical menopause at age 34. The decision was mine to make. Dr. Winchester has continued to treat me conservatively and is willing to work with me to make sure I am mentally ready for a THA, which I am not right now. Therefore, we continue to try alternative methods together to work on my pain and symptoms. She is up to date on all medical procedures and is a very kind, care, and attentive physician. I could not ask for a more attentive, caring, and capable doctor.
