I was referred to Dr Vanderquaak by my GYN when she detected Uterine Cancer. I can't say enough about the professional manner of this gentle man. His compassion, his concern, his way of explaining things, answering questions and his knowledge of caring for me were outstanding! I trusted him right away and he made me feel less afraid of my surgery. I am thankful for his tender care during this scary experience in my life.

Dr. Vanderquaak is a partner in Hope: A Women's Cancer Center in Asheville, NC. He is a wonderful and caring doctor, and those in the WNC area who unfortunately need to see someone in this field are indeed FORTUNATE if they have him as their physician and to have this group of dedicated and friendly staff caring for them. I had a complete abdominal hysterectomy and exploratory laparoscopy for a large suspicous mass and Dr. V and his group took the best care of me both in the months before my surgery and the short time I needed them afterwards. I strongly recommend this doctor and this group. Going to Hope was never stressful... the place is like walking into a lodge, with the fireplace in the center, the comfortable overstuffed rockers, chairs, and couches, and then the beauty of the mountains through the picture windows. Its truly a place of healing.
