Dr. Scott King in Jackson, MI, is an OB/GYN who really cares about his patients. I don't think he delivers babies any more, but he has been a source of much information and comfort to me during my many visits with gynecological problems and subsequent hysterectomy and hormone therapy. Dr. King is a font of knowledge and keeps very up-to-date on the many research studies regarding women's health issues. Because of this, he has taken a lot of time with me explaining the pros and cons of different treatments, what the studies say, what the studies don't say, where the media screw up in reporting on women's health issues, and listening to my concerns without writing me off as a crazy woman! Before my hysterectomy, he took 45 minutes with my husband and me to explain about the surgery, all the do's and don'ts of recovery, all that my husband needed to do for me (Yay!), and what to expect. During surgery, he had his office partner work alongside him as an extra pair of eyes. I appreciated that! He checked on me daily at the hospital. I learned afterwards from a nurse on the floor that he's the favorite doctor of those nurses because of how kindly he treats his patients and the nurses, never rude, always thorough and caring. Nurses know the good doctors!!! The same nurse also told me Dr. King's patients always have a good recovery (if they follow his instructions) because he is so careful with them. I have never heard a bad word about him, only praise.
