I came to Dr. Wu because they found my fibroids during my gall bladder surgery, and my previous ob/gyn was an ASS!!!!!!! Not only could he NOT feel my fibroids, but once I had my pelvic ultrasound and found out that I needed the surgery, my previous gyn of 12 yrs left a message on my ANSWERING machine to "part company with my uterus!!!!"
Dr. Wu did not rush into surgery. She understood my hesitation and concerns (my sister had just had breast cancer surgery and I was concerned about hormone replacement if I needed a radical hysterectomy). She talked to me, and explained throughout the next few years how the fibroids were changing and how we'd "know" when to go under the knife.
Her patience and staff were amazing!!!!!! I can't thank them enough! This was my first "BIG" operation and I was scared to death. She called me to find out how I was doing. I was in the hospital 3 days and she visited every day!
Post op??? I feel fantastic! Wish we would have done it sooner! The IBS and migraines I suffered with prior to the surgery...GONE!!! Sadly, the fibroids are back less than 4 months after the surgery. So maybe I should have had the ovaries removed??? We'll see when I do my follow up in 2 months. But I tell you, she calls me when I call her. She is patient with me when I don't understand my own body. I can't say enough about this woman!!! I LOVE THIS DOCTOR!!!!!
