An excellent and dedicated gyn/oncology physician - came highly recommended by my primary care physician and my regular gyn and I agree. She prepared us well for what to expect, providing good information. Dr. Walker handled my hysterectomy and after care very professionally and compassionately. A true gift to women who are facing any gyn cancer issues.

I am a 9 year vaginal cancer survivor. I first met Dr. Walker 9 years ago, being referred to her by my normal doctor. I would totally recommend her to anyone with cancer... she will give you her total 110%. I had 28 radiation treatments, followed by a radiation implant. I believe I am here today, 9 years later because of the care I received then, and now from her.

I would suggest Dr. Joan Walker to anyone with a gynecological cancer. I was first diagnosed in July of 2006 by my ob/gyn and she called Dr. Walker's office to get me an appt. Dr. Walker stayed late to see me that evening and immediately checked me into the hospital--I had a hysterectomy the next day and was staged at 3c endometrial cancer. I am so pleased with the care I have received from Dr Walker and all of her residents, fellows and partners. She is very kind and down to earth, happy to answer any questions. She is also nationally known as a researcher which is great because cancer treatments are improving daily and she has her finger on the pulse.
