Dr. Meaney is a kind compassionate knowlegeable urologist who diagnosed and has treated my interstitial cystitis for the past 6 years. I was at the breaking point, unable to find a diagnois and in a lot of pain when I found Dr. Meaney. Dr. Meaney is associated with Urology San Antonio http://www.urologysanantonio.com/meaney.html , a large urology practice here in San Antonio. This doctor has always been on the cutting edge of proven and new treatments for IC, and willing to listen to my concerns and try anything that might be in the realm of IC symptom relief, including holistic and non-prescription approachs. Dr. Meaney has a beautiful 'bedside manner" and you will soon feel as if she were a sister or good friend. She listens to you, is never patronizing or condescending and takes the time to make sure you are well informed. It is fairly easy to get appointments with her and she very rarely runs more than 30 minutes behind. I have never really had any trouble getting in touch with her or requesting refills. Urology San Antonio http://www.urologysanantonio.com/ also runs a support group for IC sufferers, and a female sexuality center, including diagnosis and treatment if pelvic floor dysfunction. There is no one I trust with my IC treatment than Dr. Joan T. Meaney.
