I will never forget Dr. Stanhope! He saved my life and made it possible for me to be able to see my children grow up. I really do not believe I would be here today without such a gifted doctor. I was diagnosed with stage 4, level 4, cancer. He not only performed my surgery but was persistant that chemo be started immediately.
As a person, he is very honest, caring, and friendly. He really is a wonderful person and doctor!

I recommend this doctor because I think he did a great job with my vaginal hysterectomy and pelvic repair in August 2006. He is a Gynecology Surgeon. He has done many of these surgeries, and could tell me exactly what to expect after the surgery. He called it perfectly! He also has a good sense of humor, and is very personable. I was extremely pleased with my surgery and recovery.

I had a previous surgery at Mayo, therefore it was highly recommended to have a hysterectomy at Mayo. Dr. Stanhope and his nurse were supportive and comforting. Just before surgery he made sure I had no further questions and that I was very comfortable with the procedure. He answered all my questions. At my post-op visit he was very caring and personal.

Dr. Stanhope is a Gyn/Onc with the Mayo Clinic who performed my hysterectomy for possible ovarian cancer. It turned out to be ovarian cancer so my surgery involved the debulking required for cancer. Dr. Stanhope was thorough and available to answer questions. He was excited to tell me that the Grade was a 1 instead of a 2 as the frozen section indicated. I would recommend Dr. Stanhope to anyone facing a hysterectomy for a gynecologic cancer.
