I had to find a new gynecologist after relocating to this area following Hurricane Katrina. Dr. LeBlanc was my second choice and now I'm so glad I didn't care for the first one. I have no trouble getting appointments and whenever I call in with a question, Dr. LeBlanc himself returns the call, sometimes in less than an hour. When my pain became unbearable Dr. LeBlanc scheduled my hysterectomy in less than 10 days. He is compassionate and professional. When I became scared in the OR, he held my hand until I went under. During my stay in the hospital, he called and visited and always asked if I had any questions. The only suggestion I have is to give a list of restricted activities for hysterectomy patients. At my one week post-op visit, all he said was, "If it hurts, stop." While that's good advice, I would have appreciated more specific guidelines.
