I was referred to Dr Hoffman by my PCM. Unlike most offices where it takes weeks to get an appt., I had an appt the very next week. My husband is active duty military which means moving and changing Dr's often who always want to start from scratch with treatments, Dr Hoffman on my first visit did a thorough examination and ultrasound, then met me in his office and went into extensive detail about all my previous procedures. He did NOT want to start from scratch and put me through everything again and just arranged to schedule the surgery for the hysterectomy that I had needed for years. My insurance company balked at the surgery and he personally called them and fought to get me the surgery I needed. Since I had complications from anesthesia in the past he made sure that all tests and precautions were taken to protect me and my health for the surgery. More than just the care and compassion from Dr Hoffman I can not say enough about his office staff, especially his nurse that schedules his surgeries and works with the patients through the pre-op and post-op times. She always returned my calls promptly and answered all my questions and concerns, never making me feel like a nusiance or like I was asking silly questions. I was able to retain one ovary, but if anything were to ever happen and I needed surgery again no matter where I was in the US this is the office I would call and the only Dr that I would want to operate on me again.
