I was first referred to Dr. Winter due to abnormal paps. As time went on, other issues developed and he recommended an MRI. As it turned out, I had one fibroid the size of a cantaloupe and another the size of a peach. Dr. Winter wanted to be certain that I was aware of all my options so he then referred me to the hospital's fibroid clinic. After all was said and done, I decided a hysterectomy was the most logical option for me. Dr. Winter was wonderful! He thoroughly explained everything to me (without all the medical jargon that is sometimes difficult to understand!) and made sure all of my questions were answered. He has such a wonderful demeanor that one cannot help but feel at ease. In addition, a had a small arterial vein at the top of my vagina that continued to bleed after surgery (I probably disturbed it by moving around too much). He thoroughly examined me to figure out what the problem was, then immediately took me back to the operating room to stitch up the vein. He didn't sugar coat things, he was very straight forward without being alarming. He was never intimidating and always made me feel as though my issues were his number one concern. My family felt the same way. I highly recommend Dr. Winter without any hesitation whatsoever!!
