Dr. Richards is Gynecologic Oncologist in the Cincinnati area. I went to Dr. Richards after having a 2nd opinion with an OB/GYN within UC Physicians. The moment I met Dr. Richards I knew I had found the right doctor. He was friendly, compassionate, easy to talk with and very knowledgeable and familiar with different types of treatment options. I knew my only option was a hysterectomy however, he gave me an option so I could continue to work until I was ready for surgery. That option only took me about 3 weeks to decide that I was in too much pain to continue to work so within 3 weeks I was having a hysterectomy. Due to my weight (morbidly obese) I knew there was a chance I would have to have a total abdominal hysterectomy however, with his expertise I ended up having a DaVinci method hysterectomy. I felt that all of my concerns are always answered and if I happen to forget to ask or mention something at the time of my appointment I can always email him and will get an answer back within the day. I have to say that I do not trust doctors very easily and I trust Dr. Richards with my life.
