Dr. Thompson has excellent bedside manner, is kind, and explains everything in a calming way. I like that she takes time to explain everything prior to exams. She's very patient, comforting, hopeful, and does everything she can to ensure the best outcome for the patient. She doesn't talk to patients like they're stupid or ignorant. She uses lots of examples of past procedures she's done as well as how long she'd been doing them and what the patient could expect after the procedure. I went to her for 2nd opinion and was not disappointed. She showed pictures of the anatomy and explained condition effects on the body in terms I could understand. She was open to my questions without getting frustrated, even if I had previously asked the question. If you are in need of a good ob/gyn doctor, you should see Dr. Thompson at UT Southwestern Medical Center. You will not be disappointed. She is highly experienced in the realm of least invasive procedures--very cutting edge. She even called to check on my after my procedure and with a home phone call once I was discharged. That's what I call good care!
