If you're looking for a skilled, professional, and simply amazing surgeon / or OBGYN doctor. I highly recommend Dr. Swan. My story started with several doctors and ER visits due to abnormal bleeding. I did not know what to do and was beyond scared– until I met Dr. Swan. She listened. I am going to say that again – she listened. She treated me with respect and answered all my questions. In my opinion not only does her high skill set her apart, but also her remarkable ability of what seems to be a long forgotten art of empathy. There was never a moment I didn’t feel that I was in the best care possible – physically and emotionally. Which I will assure you is incredibly important. I ended up opting for a total laparoscopic hysterectomy (TLH) after understanding all my options. I am grateful and thankful to all the staff and Dr. Swan for giving me an even better outcome than I expected. For all the readers that are surfing for someone to help, for a doctor that is brilliant in her field – this is the doctor to go see. I spent countless hours researching, making lists of questions, and quite simply freaking out – I cannot imagine if I had gone through this process with a different doctor. She’s amazing.

Dr. Swan took me through my hysterectomy very smoothly with no problems. She was thorough in my care and made sure I understood everything. She gave recommendations but made sure I felt I had a choice. Awesome care from a very good Doctor. Her nurses are fantastic as well. She really listens and wants to help.

I highly recommend Dr. Kimberly Swan at KU Medical Center. She performed a robotic assisted hysterectomy on me for uterine fibroids. My problem arose last December when my MD discovered I was anemic to the point of needing a blood transfusion. Time was of the essence so I immediately made an appointment with the gynecologist she recommended. After my appointment I began to do research and found the website of Dr. William Parker in Santa Monica, CA. He's considered a foremost authority on fibroids in the US. I posted a question on his blog and he personally emailed me back. Armed with this information I respectfully challenged my gynecologist regarding the tests she wanted to do along with a list of questions before scheduling surgery. She questioned me and the validity of information I had received. Thank goodness I did more research and found Dr. Swan.

She welcomed my questions and offered more options to solve my fibroid issue. Considering the hell I had been through for the last five months i opted for daVinci hysterectomy instead of just removing my fibroids. Dr. Swan has a two year fellowship in minimally invasive gynecology and trained under the pioneers in the industry. She knew who Dr. Parker was and also belongs to the AAGL. As a third year medical student she had to have a full abdominal incision surgery for ovarian issues. That experience drove her decision to ensure none of her patients would have to endure the same thing. Her personality
rocks, add that to her expertise and I knew I was in the best hands possible.

What else can I say, other than Dr. Swan is amazing!
