Dr. Krause was recommended to me by my GP when we decided that I needed to have a hysterectomy. When I met Dr. Krause, he instantly put me at ease by treating me with kindness and respect. He let me talk him through my health history, and asked my opinions on what type of procedure I thought was best for me. He knew that I had done my research, and respected that I had some knowledge of the procedures. We came to the exact same conclusion, and when he made recommendations specifically for my situation, I knew that I had found the right surgeon.

*Note: Dr. Krause is one of the few surgeons in the area that does NOT suggest Total Abdominal Hysterectomies. I had mine laparoscopically-done, which decreases your down time and does not leave a 4-6" incision across your abdomen. I highly recommend talking to ANY doctor about your choices, but Dr. Krause has been doing this procedure for years, and he is truly excellent at it! I believe this sets him apart.

I came with a list of questions, and Dr. Krause answered them all. He never made me feel like I was taking up his time, and he appreciated that I wanted to know as much as possible about my procedure. He made the pre-op visit very smooth, and it took some of my nerves away when he explained the procedure for me in detail.

Surgery was on-time, quick, and professional. I was admitted for pain issues, but Dr. Krause came back the next day to check on me. He was very kind, and talked me through any post-op questions I had. My husband said that right after the surgery, Dr. Krause came out and informed him about all aspects of the surgery, and how long it would be before my husband could see me. He showed my husband pictures of the surgery, which I was able to keep.

I am now 4 weeks post-op after having a Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy (and right ovary removal). I am almost ready to go back to work, and I feel better than I ever expected. The pains that I had been used to due to the conditions that led me to hysterectomy are GONE. Dr. Krause is a true professional, and a genuinely caring and kind person. I highly recommend his services, I think he's one of the very best.
