Dr. Konialian is amazing, and literally saved my life. I was bleeding so much that I did not know that I was in such a dangerous life or death situation. Because of my constant bleeding and lack of hemoglobin, my heart was severely taxed and overworked, I had developed diabetes and had pre-cancer cells. Dr. Konialian is tough, and not a hand holder, but honest, thorough, caring and strong when you are not able to be. He is an incredible surgeon. While explaining everything thoroughly, he gave me not only his opinion, but options, so that I never had to wake up later in life wondering what if, and I am forever grateful to him for that. He tried everything possible to help save my uterus, but when I nearly bled to death, he stepped in and said it was time to let it go and thank God he did, because I not knowingly nearly committed suicide. I bled so much one day, I slipped and fell and hit my head. I was unconscious for almost 2 hours before I came to and was able to call the paramedics. Dr. Konialian tried to warn me this could happen, but I wouldn't listen.
A week later, I had my hysterectomy. Dr. Konialian made me feel safe and strong enough to get through it, and he made sure I did. My surgery was very complicated, but I got through thanks to Dr. Konialian, and as much as I fought having a hysterectomy, I am so glad that I finally listened to him and that he was the doctor to perform my surgery.
I am recuperating now, and so grateful for Dr. Konialian and his team. I am a difficult patient I know, because I am going to do what I want no matter what, only Dr. Konialian could make me look at things differently and fight not just to have a baby, but fight to live.
