Dr. Finkelstein is a gyn-onc, a specialty not listed as a choice. I was referred to her by a labor/delivery nurse who worked with her after I was told by a local (small town) ob-gyn that I had a "problem". She took immediate action regarding my aggressive uterine cancer. I found her to be knowledgeable, personable, and has the ability to explain the details of my cancer in words easily understood by me. Her followup care includes chemotherapy at her location, staffed by excellent, caring, and personable nurses. She meets with her patients each time during the chemo to discuss progress and problems. I trusted her completely and have been very pleased with the care, treatment, and progress of my care. I initially spent three weeks in the hospital following a TAH/BSO with complications. I saw her almost every day and she was on top of anything she perceived as a problem immediately. Before beginning chemo I received, from the chemo staff, a thorough briefing regarding what I should and should not do, what effects I could probably expect, and what additional medications I would have available. Excellent physician and staff.
