Dr. Retzler was a life saver for me after my hysterectomy. I lived in Seattle at the time so I drove to see her in Portland, OR. She specializes in hormones/bio identical and anti aging (for your entire body) in many ways from brian health, to thyroid to adrenal function to nutrition to skin care products for your face. She herself is always learning and sharing so she can better help us. She will treat men too.
She has a strong personality but, listens and suggests what she thinks is best for your body and everyone is different. She is compassionate and friendly. She could improve here self by finding a lab to do urine testing for hormone and saliva and compare it to the blood tests she requires as I believe we'd get a better picture.
I was first given pellets of estradiol, progesterone and testosterone injected under my skin (on my butt) and it turned out to be too much hormone for me and i gain a little weight but, felt so much better. We had to wait for them to wear off (5/6 months) then we went to bio identical lozenges which dissolve between my teeth and gums which I love. Then all the weight came off but, I really watched what I ate to help. We did chang the prescription a few times and got them dialed in. She uses University Compounding Pharmacy in San Diego and they're terrific! I was also treated for exhausted adrenal glands and had issues with falling asleep and staying asleep.
