Dr Hagler is very cautious. He didn't immediately tell me I had to have surgery. First of all, he suggested I do a partial hysterectomy about ten years ago due to my fibroids. I was too scared to have surgery so I decided not to go ahead with it. As the years went by, my fibroids grew in size. Then I went through menopause and I kept getting a random period (usually after sex) so I had to get a sample taken of my uterus to be sure I didn't have cancer or something. So then I waited a few more months and kept bleeding and feeling bloated so I said lets do it and he did. He has a great bedside manner and just wants you to feel comfortable with your decision.
He did a laporascooic assisted abdominal supra cervical hysterectomy. I was able to keep my ovaries after he viewed them and determined they were fine. My recovery has been a little harder than he said but I also had an enlarged uterus and needed a 3 inch incision to remove it.
He didn't prescribe me any anti-nausea medicine which I could have used As pain meds and I don't get along.
I still would recommend him as he is very experienced!!!
