I have been seeing Dr. Beam for 5 years. She is really up on all the current IC treatments and research. In addition, she is caring and takes time with her patients. I have only found one other doctor in my 20 years with IC as good as she is. Thank you Dr. Beam.

I also have IC and very much appreciate the care and knowledge Dr. Beam has given me. I have had IC for 20 years and had several doctors. Few have been as helpful as her.

This Dr is the best. She is very sweet, caring,and compassionate.I have Interstitial Cystitis, a very painful disabling bladder disease, and she is very knowledgeable and understanding.I would recommend her to anyone looking for a good urologist, especially someone with IC.

Dr. Beam is a very warm, compassionate, and patient doctor. She takes the time and listens to what I have to say instead of rushing me out of the office. I have been dealing with this disease for about 4 years and it has slowly gotten worse. But I cannot let this disease win and Teresa said that she would not give up on me so I should not give up on myself. She is really there for you. She is the most wonderful doctor I have ever known and she is willing to do whatever she can to help you through your journey through this tough and very frustrating disease no matter what the odds are. Dr. Teresa Beam is the only Urologist I would ever recommend to anyone based on personal experience.

Dr. Beam is an excellent, kind, and understanding physician. I was referred to Dr. Beam; after being to a few other urologists that I was not very pleased with. I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis in 2004. The diagnosing physician was a good surgeon; however, I felt left with many questions and little information about my condition after my diagnosis. I also felt that I had a lack of support and compassion from this physician. In addition, this doctor refused to confirm my pain and depression as a result of this disease. I began to feel very frustrated and felt like the disease was of my mind and not a legitimate disease with a bundle of painful symptoms. When I found Doctor Beam (I call her my beam of sunshine) I felt like I finally found a light at the end of the tunnel. Dr. Beam takes the time to listen to her patients; and views them as humans, not just a number or a disease. Dr. Beam walks the road with me through this horrible disease. She also encourages me to find new ways to live my life without being encumbered by my condition. Her entire office works in tandem with me; leaving me with a feeling that I am not alone and that my pain and frustration is understood. I am grateful to Dr. Beam and her staff; they make living with a bad disease a lot less frightening and a lot more manageable. They remind me that I am not my disease; I simply have a disease that is a small part of me.
