After 5 previous abdominal surgeries due to complications of a hysterectomy Dr.Dellon came into my life and gave me hope. I have had 2 surgeries with Dr.Dellon. First surgery was the resection,neuroma of the right ilioinguinal and right iliohypogastric nerves and neurolysis of the right lateral femoral cutaneous nerve. This surgery went well and was quite successful although i continued to have disabiling pain in the pelvic region. Dr.Dellon realized there were also nerves damaged around my original midline incision. Dr.Dellon felt horrible that he had to operate again, unfortunately this pain had been masked by the previous pain. I underwent another surgery this time excision of the intercostal neuromas at the junction with the rectus sheath at T9,T10,T11,T12 and recsection of the genital branch of the genitofemoral nerve. I am now in physiotherapy trying to gain back the strength I have lost from 5 years of pain and large doses of pain medication. I feel that Dr.DEllon gave me hope that noone else could. I live in Canada with my family and unfortunately this was not covered but the only choice I had was to cont. on my meds for the rest of my life which I decided not to do. Dr.DEllon is a wonderful surgeon not only in plastic surgery but also nerve related surgeries. I was shocked not to see him already on this site as he has done so much good work around the world. He is an unbelievable man. He was very compassionate, caring, funny and brilliant man, and his office staff went above and beyond to make our visits positive.
