Dr. Akright is an OB/Gyn. I have been seeing him for several months since I moved to the San Antonio area and started having pains that I had experienced before. Dr. Akright took me very seriously and understood my concern. After several months of following me very closely, he informed me, very well, of all my options and guided me to what was best for me. This past week he performed a hysterectomy. I was very happy that his concern for me continued all through my time in the hospital. Unlike most doctors, he came in every day personally, even on the weekend to check on me and talk to me. He made sure every step of the way I understood what was happening to me. Dr. Akright is very caring and understanding. I have never had a OB/Gyn that listened so much to what I had to say about my own body. He is part of a large practice, but you would never know. The entire staff is helpful and friendly.
