Dr. Motyka is the best gynecologist I have ever been to. She is extremely nice, understanding, gentle, and professional. She will talk to you about any problem, and isn't judgemental, rude, or even overly clinical-sounding. You never have to wait long in her office, and you don't feel like she's rushing when she sees you. You get the same treatment with all the nurses and staff in her office. Really the only downside is there is a long wait to schedule an appt. (especially as a new patient), but that's only because she's so popular! Highly recommended for all women, especially those who are nervous or hesitant about these kinds of visits.

If you have ever read the Vagina Monologues you remember "My Vagina's Angry". When you go to Dr Motyka for a check up it is like she took that as a list of recommendations. Not only does she warm up the duck lips but there is calming music in the backgroud, fur covered stirrups, nice purple robes (your choice) and she is a calming presence. I would highly recommend going to see her!

Dr. Motyka is the most compassionate, gifted, skilled surgeon I know. Eight years ago, I spent two years looking for a Gyn I would let come near me with a scalpal! It took two years to find Dr. Motyka. She has supported me for 7 years in my quest to keep my organs, in spite of multiple uterine fibroids, family history of ovarian cancer, and much physical discomfort. I never felt judged, rushed, or wronged in my process. Her business card says "holistic gynocology and conscious wellness". Her knowledge of bio-identical hormones, herbs, and complementary medicines rounds out her medical background. She is compassionate, thoughtful, supportive, patient, and generous.

Three weeks ago she did a supracervical laparascopic hysterectomy, with bilateral oopherectomy on me. This was my first surgical experience, and I have to say it was great, all around. Not a trip to Hollywood, mind you, but everything went really well. I know a lot of that has to do with my waiting until I was ready, and Dr. Motyka's willingness to stay on this roller-coaster with me.
