Dr. Tsai is an excellent physician. A hysterotomy is a very sensitive matter. Dr. Tsai took the time to throughly explain everything to me. She makes sure she explains everything in a way that you will understand everything possible thing about your condition. She explains all treatments that are available. She doesn't rush through the time she spends with you. She has a very positive nature which makes you feel at ease about her recommendations.
I was diagnosed with Adenoymosis and Fibroids. My fibroids were implanted in my uterus lining. She explained the entire procedure to me before the surgery. She explained that she would not remove my ovaries unless they appeared unhealthy. They were fine. She was removing my cervix and explained the possible problems that could arise later. Because I have high blood pressure, she needed a clearance from my primary physician. On March 21st, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, I had Laparoscopic Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy surgery which was done Vaginally. On my two week check-up, she had pictures for me. All that I can say is the procedure is amazing and it helps to have a doctor who is sensitive to your needs.
I am scheduled to return to work 18 days after my surgery although the recovery process varies with each individual.
