I am honored to recommend Dr. Yancey. I came to be his patient several years ago purely by chance. I was in need of an OB/GYN and was literally picking names in the phonebook. I had had several recommendations from friends and family, but it was taking several weeks to get in and i couldn't wait that long.
I found Dr. Yancey and am truly glad that I did. He is an excellent doctor. One who seems to actually care about the overall well-being of his patients. He will listen to your cares and concerns, then take the time to address them. Making sure that things are clear to you. He is never too busy to return a call in order to answer any questions you may have. He is also very kind and friendly. He has a great sense of humor and a terrific bed-side manner. And one thing about Dr. Yancey that has always stuck with me is something he said during my first visit with him. He said that 'you're the boss (the patient), I work for you. " This statement made me feel like I had found a doctor who encourages an active role by patients in their health care. He really listens to what I have to say. And this means a lot to me.
He is diligent in caring for his patients. If he finds even the slightest thing out of order, he will stick with it until the end, leaving no stone unturned until an answer is found.
He is good at what he does, and I wouldn't trade him for any thing.
