i just had surgery 3 days ago (ASCH for a HUGE fibroid)..and i am home already with very little pain or discomfort! a Doctors skill level is 95% of your outcome, so pick a good one. Dr. Bartsich is one of the REALLY GOOD ONES! Make sure your surgeon has the right skill set for your particular problem and procedure. it's like the old saying practice makes perfect. it also helps that he has great bed side manner and makes you feel very safe from start to finish. i hope all your experiences can be as good as mine.

Dr. Bartsich is an excellent physician and surgeon. The care that I received before, during and after both of my surgeries was outstanding. I was treated by him for fibroids and also ovarian cysts. He is very experienced with fibroids (written a book coauthored with his daughter) and provided me with every option and explanation. I was never pressured into a decision to have surgery and his bedside manner is matched by no other physician that I have encountered. He sincerely cares about his patients and their well-being. I received daily phone calls from him during the immediate post op period. He was attentive to my husband and kept him up to date with my progress during both surgeries. He walked me to the OR on both occasions and was in the recovery room when I awoke from anesthesia. He is the best of the best!
