At the age of 26, after trying to get pregnant for 6 months with no success due to abnormal cycles I went to see my ob/gyn, Dr. Kathleen Cauble, for a check up. Instead of telling me to keep trying, that I was young, and to come back in another 6 months she ordered b/w and an u/s. It was during the ultrasound that they found a tumor on my right ovary. I had a full laparotomy, my right ovary removed, and full staging (done by an ob/gyn oncologist and assisted by Dr. Cauble). They found stage 1a ovarian cancer, but the disease had not spread.
I believe that Dr. Cauble saved my live, or at least saved me from needing much more extensive treatment (I did not need chemo since they found and removed the cancer so early) She is caring, reassuring, listens to her patients, and is just a fabulous doctor. We had to move out of state 2 years ago, and it was SO HARD to leave Dr. Cauble's care.
When we decided to adopt, Dr. Cauble wrote a wonderful letter to our adoption agency about my health status, and added a very nice note about me and my husband and that she thought we would be "an asset to their program". She truly goes above and beyond for her patients, both current and past. Thank you Dr. Cauble!
