I was sent to this doctor from my ob/gyn when she was concerned that what i had might be cancer. That is a very scary word "Cancer". I went to him at Watson Clinic in Lakeland, FL two days after she told me too. His office was relaxed, his staff was excellent, and when I had questions oh boy did I! He answered carefully and patiently, and gave me all the options. I choose to have it all taken out , so if I had cancer I wouldn't have to have him go back in later. The surgery was horrible to recover from. I have never felt that much pain in my life. His office helped me with the recovery, and were very attentive. I would recommend this completely if I had to do it over again. Denise

I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH OVARIAN CANCER AND WAS REFERRED TO DR.CARDOSI BY MY OB/GYN.HE IS KIND,TRUSTWORTHY AND KNOWS HIS STUFF!! I am a patient of Dr. Richard Cardosi's. He practices in the Lakeland, Florida area, and is a gynecologica oncologist. He was recommended to me by my regular ob/gyn after I was diagnosed with complex cysts in my left ovary as well as persistent simple cysts in my right ovary. Dr. Cardosi put me at ease from the very first time I met him. I was reluctant to have this surgery (bilateral oophorectomy), but he took the time to sit down next to me, review my records with me, and explain to me what ALL my options were. He told me what he recommended, but left the decision entirely up to me. I was facing a possible cancer situation, and he explained each procedure and the risks involved. He is very cheerful, friendly, knowledgable and is not at ALL egotistical, which I was very grateful for. Each time he spoke to me, he left me with a feeling of confidence; it was as though he was saying "OK, yes, I've seen this situation before, and here's how we can handle it". He is also honest, and will give you as much information and will answer as many questions as you want. I would recommend him to anyone, without hesitation.
