Dr. Rushing is the BEST. He delivered my 16 year old son and performed my hysterectomy 3 weeks ago. As his other post states, he has a wonderful sense of humor. He gets to know you and your personality. When diagnosed with cervical dysplasia, he thoughtfully suggested that I NOT read up on it on the internet because I would become overly anxious, just my personality. His bedside manner is fabulous. If you live in the area, and are looking for an OB/GYN, please take our recommendations. Dr. Rushing is the best!

Dr. Rushing has performed two surgeries on me. He removed an ovarian cyst, in 1999 I think, and more recently a hysterectomy in 2006. I could not have wished for better care from him and his staff. His qualities are many but what is important is that he listens, asks questions, and then sets out options. He treats you like a human being and doesn't fob you off with "it's your age". I have been to other doctors (not OB's) that will sit across a desk yet never look up from writing something not connected with your case. Dr. Rushing, on the other hand, gives you his attention 100%. He is caring not only to his patients, but their families. He doesn't mind being asked questions, even if they seem stupid. I have never felt embarased to ask anything and he has always been honest with his answers and makes sure that you are satisfied with his response. He has a knack of being able to tell if you are worried and will do anything he can to put to rest any fears. I would recommend him 100%. In addition, he does have a good sense of humor and takes everything in his stride.
