Dr. Kaplan is a urogynecologist and passionate about the field. I went to see him for stress incontinence mainly, though I also had the beginnings of uterine prolapse and some fecal incontinence. He did several tests that pinpointed exactly what the issues were, talked and drew pictures of the repairs he would make, and made sure that I was 100% on board with everything before proceeding. After the surgery, which was extensive, he was with me every step - calling several times over the first few days to see how I was doing, helping with medication side effects, etc. etc.
Post op he was very happy with my recovery and continued to be involved until all stitches were out and I was on my way.
I absolutely recommend Dr. Kaplan to anyone in the SF Bay Area, no matter how far away. I had the procedure done at the hospital closest to his office, even though it was not the most convenient for me, because it was completely worth it to me to have him close at hand and working in his accustomed environment. He worked with my husband AND me pre and post op, made sure that my husband understood what I would need after the surgery, and really put himself out there to make it successful for me.
