Dr Mackey, was my OB for both of my pregnancies. he is beyond the most caring, patient Dr. I have ever seen. in the delivery room he brings such calmness to the room that is unexplainable. thanks Dr. Mackey.

I had been diagnosed with uterine fibroid tumors in August of 2007. By January of 2008, I was at my wits end with the pain and bleeding and finally was referred to Dr. Mackey by a retiring ob/gyn. He listened to all of my concerns and never seemed rushed for time. He conducted a bunch of tests to see where they were exactly and made sure I was aware of all the treatment plans and risks. He never once denied my pain and discomfort as many other doctors did. I really was amazed that he was available after-hours by e-mail and phone. He performed surgery to remove the tumors and he was extreamly careful to perserve my uterus and ability to have children since I was so young (I was 26). Right after the surgery, I felt like a totally different person- all the pain and problems were gone! I have been labeled as a high-risk pregnancy by my primary doctor and will hopefully be going to Dr. Mackey for all my ob issues. Can't say enough good things!

I saw Dr. Mackey after my 2nd misscarriage and he preformed the D&C. He was very proactive in doing tests to determine if there was a cause for the multiple misscarriages. Some time later I became pregnant again and he immeadetly put me on hormone treatment to help keep the pregnancy. I delivered a healthy baby girl at 39 weeks. My placenta would not come for about 2 hours and the whole time he and his team were working on me to avoid surgery or take blood. I had utmost confidence in him and if I ever conceive again I will be back in his office. Highly recommend him!

As a few others have said, Dr. Kim Mackey is a wonderful doctor. Very knowledgable and experienced in his field. He answers all your questions during your appointment and is available via e-mail or phone for any follow-up after an appointment. He has a very positive attitude and gives you a basic understanding for his reasons for doing surgery.

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and bilateral oophorectomy performed by Dr. Kim Mackey in June 2007. Dr. Mackey is a board certified OB/GYN who specializes in MIP (minimally invasive procedures) for hysterectomy. My experience was terrific from the first office visit to the day I left the hospital less than a week ago. Dr. Mackey is patient, takes his time, listens and is very thorough, on top of being extremely knowledgeable and skilled. The staff at the hospital commented many times about how great it is to work with him because he is so energetic and upbeat, as well as being a great surgeon. That means a lot to me, being an RN myself. I also have to plug Meriter Hospital in Madison. I received great care there from the time I walked in the door until the time they assisted me to my car. I wouldn't change a thing.
