I had him for a doctor while i was at Hamot. He took really good care of me and he was very thorough. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a Pulmonologist. The reason i had him was i needed to increase my lung power in order to have open heart surgery. He put me on a C-Pap machine in order to accomplish this. He asked me if i felt it helped me in taking a deep breath. I told him "no", but that's because i don't feel like i have trouble deep breathing. But it helped as i now can get up to 750 on the incentive spirometer, while i could only get up to 500 before. So what he did helped me breathe better. In the end, i am not having the heart surgery since my cardiac surgeon decided not to do the heart surgery since i would not stay on the ventilator after surgery for a long time, even though i agreed to the 2 months he asked me to. But i still feel it was worthwhile to be on the C-Pap machine as it helped me, and i thank Dr. Rowane for this.
