Dr. Shoemaker is the best doctor I have ever had. He was my doctor during my fourth pregnancy and he is phenomenal. He goes the extra mile of giving health care, he takes everyting into account. My husband got a job out of state and I hated leaving. When I had to find a new doctor because I was pregnant again, the search didn't go as smoothly. The whole time I wished I was back in Alabama with Dr. Shoe. I am thrilled to be back in Alabama and am seeing him again. Unfortunately I have some health issues and I am looking forward to full service care. He is the best!

Dr. Shoemaker was referred to me by my G.P., Dr. Harbaugh, because of the results of the ultrasound test, bloodwork and thyroid. It was my first visit with this G.P. and I will always be greatful to her for suggesting these test to define if or what my problem was.
Dr. Shoemaker sat across from me in his office with my file before him, telling me what my life has been like just from reading the report. You remember that Roberta Flack song...Strumming my fate with his fingers, singing my life with his words....well that was what it was like. During that meeting is when I found out my problems were more than I originally thought, but not life threatening.
He explained to me and made sure I understood what was happening with me and why he recommended a hysterectomy. He was ready with a comforting smile and reasurrances that all will be well and I will have my life back. Dr. Shoemaker's staff is extraordinary. They are friendly, helpful and eager to assist. The working atmosphere is pleasant and comfortable.
Ever since my surgery, I say a prayer for my G.P. who found the problem and Dr. Shoemaker who took the problem away.
I feel great, I'm back at work after 3 weeks and I couldn't be happier.
Dr. Shoe, if you see this, know that you will always be in my prayers and know how eternally greatful to you I will remain.

I highly recommend Dr Shoemaker. He is a excellent doctor. When my daughter was born we did not know before hand that she had Down Syndrome. We were shocked to say the least. Dr Shoemaker was not on call the weekend I went into preterm labor but first thing monday morning he had called to check on us. He apologized profusely for not knowing/diagnosing. When my son was born he came in on his days off to check on me. His staff is caring, very understanding. His nurse Carla is fantastic! I will never see another gynecologist and will continue to use him. I highly recommend Dr Shoemaker to anyone!
