I saw Dr. Salmieri as a referral last week. The office is comfortable and calming. The staff is friendly and it is clear they care deeply for their patients. What impressed me the most is that the doctor took a few moments to introduce himself to me in the "living room" before I was shown to an examining room for a pelvic exam. It seems like a small thing, but meeting your doctor while you're still clothed and nowhere near a pair of stirrups really gives a feeling of respect and dignity. Likewise, the doctor spoke to me about my upcoming surgery in his office, which made me feel a lot more comfortable than having the discussion in the exam room. He spent plenty of time with me and my husband and made sure all of our questions were answered. I felt like I had a lot of input and control over what was going to happen to me. Best of all he was able to fit me into his surgical schedule in just two weeks' time.
Dr. Salmieri specializes in Gynocologic Oncology. He seems extremely competent, judging by the sheer volumne of degrees, awards, and certificates in his office. I'm feeling very at ease with my upcoming surgery knowing it's being done by such a highly trained specialist.
