Doctor Salmieri has performed one surgery on me already and is about to do another, more extensive one. I feel confident he can deal with whatever comes up in surgery and his confident manner helps me feel this way. He skillfully removed just an ovarian cyst during my first surgery and did not push me to have more re taken than I wanted at that time.

For complex GYN or situations where there may be a question of malignancy, statistics have shown outcomes are better using a GYN/ONC. Doctor. Salmieri clearly explains everything that needs to be done until you are satisfied that you understand.

Dr Salmieri is very pleasant and upbeat and does not hide his Christian faith which has s very comforting to many. He is busy but makes time for patients during their initial consults with him so they can ask questions.

How could the doctor improve? By being aware of his staff's shortcomings. One way the experience at this doctors office could improve is through better training of his front office staff. They often don't appear to have everything coordinated, appointments are made and then not in the computer upon arrival that day (even with a valid appointment card), necessary ing a long wait to be worked in, and they are also working with outdated equipment which is a shame and makes their job much harder. Their jobs as gatekeeper for Doctor. Salmieri are well understood but sometimes they carry it a bit too far, making it difficult to get a clear answer from the doctor about something which it's obvious to anyone who knows him he would be happy to answer to alleviate a fear or clear up confusion. They could all, nurses included, benefit from some updated sensitivity training. It's also clear that individually, they do care and are not maliciously trying to mess up anyone's appointment or day. They need more support themselves.

I received treatment first for a cyst removal and then for a hysterectomy.

Dr. Salmeiri is incredible! I was admitted to the hospital for blood clots in my leg. I was just told I had female cancer but they weren't sure where it was -- breast or gynecological. He was gentle yet knowledgeable. I was diagnosed with Stage 3C endometrial cancer. My odds were not good. Not only were the odds not good, but the type of cancer found had never surfaced where mine had surfaced. I had a radical hysterectomy followed by radiation and chemo at the same time. It was grueling and tough, but I pulled through it. I am now cancer free going on five years!

I cannot recommend Dr. Salmeiri high enough. I have now moved about 75 miles from his office but will ALWAYS return to see him for any gynecologic concerns and follow-ups.

He is truly amazing!

Dr. Salmieri was my doctor from 2004 until I moved out of state in 2011. He is a one of a kind and I MISS HIM SO MUCH!!!

He is one of the best doctors I have ever had the PLEASURE of being treated by. His knowledge and experience are stellar and his compassionate personality extraordinaire. His nurses Amy and Sabrina are wonderful also.

He is the kind of doctor that listens- gives his expert opinion and keeps you informed of everything all along the way.

He is a diamond in the rough and I would recommend him for ANY woman who needs an expert with compassion and personality. His good looks make everything less painful too. : )

I was referred to Dr. Salmieri who specializes in Gynecologic Oncology and he performed my DaVince Robotic surgery on June 26th. Dr. Salmieri is the best Doctor I have ever been to! I have been in doctor's care since the age of 13, now at age 44 I can honestly say Dr. Salmieri is extraordinary!! The hour drive to his office was well worth it, I would drive hours to be cared for by him. His staff was always friendly, thorough, and detail oriented. Dr. Salmieri is very confident, knowledgeable, a very skilled surgeon, and a truly caring and kind doctor. I have been to Oncologist's who are cold, uncaring and act like they are treating you for the common cold...Dr. Salmieri and his staff realize the importance of treating cancer patients with special care. I truly appreciate how I was treated and can not express my thanks enough to Dr. Salmieri and his staff. As I continue to be treated for my metastatic breast cancer, I have and will continue to tell everyone about Dr. Salmieri and recommend him to one and all. Dr. Salmieri can not improve - he is extraordinary!!!

Dr. Salmieri as a Gynecologic Oncologist. He was recommended to me by my GP. I found him to be a very caring and patient doctor who always had my best interests at heart. My surgery went very well and I was very pleased with his knowledge and skill as a DaVinci Robotic Surgeon.

Dr. Salmieri is an amazing doctor! He was very articulate and direct concerning my condition and treatment options; furthermore, his intuitiveness concerning the body and its systems is a gift. You will be hard pressed to find another doctor who is as engergetic, efficient, thorough, and accurate as Dr. Salmieri. I thank God he is my doctor!

When a woman is told she should see a specialist, in this case a GYN, many things go thru your mind. He doesn't know me, he is not familiar with my health history, it is too personal of a health issue to not feel 100% comfortable. I was blessed! I did not choose Dr. Salmieri, another doctor chose him for me. I went right to the internet and what sold me was reading the reviews. I had my appointment yesterday and exactly what I read is exactly how it was. Dr. Salmieri does personally greet you the 'living room' and he does consult after exam in his office. By the time I got to my consult, I was ready to put my trust and faith in this man of knowledge. I went home and called my husband, children and brothers and told them to worry about someone else, I was in good hands. Each person on his staff represents him well too. They are kind, caring women and each touched me.
I am a fat sassy woman and speak my mind but I was totally at a loss of speech when Dr Salmieri entered the exam room and asked about my children??? I almost could not answer. He then said, you have 3 children right? How are they? I was totally blown away but then just like that he was done with his exam. I was not even aware of it. Better yet, he told me not to worry that he would explain everything to me in his office.
Luckily I was there just for a bladder problem, but what stood out in my mind was....if I am treated this way for a bladder surgery, imagine how he must be to his cancer patients?
If you are like me who relies on reviews whether it be for a sofa or doctor, you can believe the above comments and previous reviews, as each are true. God Bless and Good Luck!
ps One of the questions we are asked when leaving a review is could this doctor improve himself to be a better doctor, my answer is short of washing my windows...NO!

I have been seeing Dr. Salmieri for 4 years now. I was referred by my gyn a little bit against my will (because of the far-away location) but she insisted that I will receive the best care there. She was right!

I was initially diagnosed with and treated for ovarian cancer 3C at his office in 2005. Dr. Salmieri is an excellent and thorough surgeon and was able to remove all of my cancer during my surgery. I was then put on the standard protocol of 6 rounds of Carbo/Taxol. Dr. Salmieri was adamant about the 6 rounds of chemo - there was not much discussing it although I sure tried, and looking back now, I feel silly to ever have thought I can do without chemo. However, I was also offered genetic testing, clinical trials and consolidation therapy; I felt like I received all the information I needed while not being pushed into anything, and in the end, my decisions were respected. All of this I very much appreciated.

His entire staff is knowledgable, friendly, caring and efficient. He's got a great team. I am still in touch with my chemo nurse from 4 years ago, and she still cares about all of her patients, now and then.

I go back every 2-3 months for follow-ups, a routine regimen. However, I never feel like just going through the motions. At each visit, Dr. Salmieri is very much interested in how I feel or if there are any changes, no matter how subtle. If it is anything at all of potential concern, he orders tests, and promptly so; that can be scary but at the same time I know that nothing will slip through the cracks on his watch and that is a good thing. If I mention something minor or unrelated, he still listens and advises and offers help if he can. He is a godsend, because he is the only doctor I know that takes his patients very serious and is so attentive - I find this especially important in the oncology setting.

While his office is busy and he always has patients lined up, and each visit has to be kept relatively short, I have never ever felt rushed. He takes a lot of time for the newly diagnosed, which is wonderful, discussing things in his personal office rather than the exam room, also much appreciated!

I also like that he is straight-forward yet very positive. He has great energy. In oncology it's probably difficult to walk the fine line between being honest and positive, but he walks it well.

I don't think Dr. Salmieri could improve himself in any way, however, I feel that he himself is always looking to improve himself, staying on top of the latest research and newest surgical techniques.

I saw Dr. Salmieri as a referral last week. The office is comfortable and calming. The staff is friendly and it is clear they care deeply for their patients. What impressed me the most is that the doctor took a few moments to introduce himself to me in the "living room" before I was shown to an examining room for a pelvic exam. It seems like a small thing, but meeting your doctor while you're still clothed and nowhere near a pair of stirrups really gives a feeling of respect and dignity. Likewise, the doctor spoke to me about my upcoming surgery in his office, which made me feel a lot more comfortable than having the discussion in the exam room. He spent plenty of time with me and my husband and made sure all of our questions were answered. I felt like I had a lot of input and control over what was going to happen to me. Best of all he was able to fit me into his surgical schedule in just two weeks' time.

Dr. Salmieri specializes in Gynocologic Oncology. He seems extremely competent, judging by the sheer volumne of degrees, awards, and certificates in his office. I'm feeling very at ease with my upcoming surgery knowing it's being done by such a highly trained specialist.
