Where to start? After a three year nightmare with another local OB/GYN, I had yet another ASCUS pap and a suspect mammogram. That was it, I switched to Dr. Brown and I will never, I mean NEVER look back.
My first appointment with him lasted more than three hours--not to mention they got me in the morning after I first called. The entire staff was determined to get to the bottom of my issues and help me get my life back. I was in tears much of the time, had no sleep and probably looked deranged--they hung in there with me with total sympathy and understanding. Each and every person I came into contact with was amazing.
I had several tests, right there in the office--no later appointments, no leaving to go to another lab, just a "can do" attitude and a will to help no matter what it took.
The results were back almost instantly as well. I have fibroids, prolapse and endometrial scarring just for starters. My 20 year history of bad paps aside, it was time to talk about TLH. We laid out a plan, a very complicated one because I already had another surgery scheduled. (Thank you Brooke for working so hard on my behalf and putting up with my endless phone calls, scheduling issues and fears!) Now, we're going to do the breast biopsy and the TLH at the same time so that I can still have the other surgery I need.
They worked carefully with two other surgeons to get the timing and meds right. They made sure I have total confidence in my choice. It was informed, well planned, meticulously detailed and utterly thorough. Amazingly, they set this all up in a week flat.
I am astonished at the level of total care, not just the GYN end of it that I have received at this office.
If you have any doubts whatsoever, let this be a testament for you. You're making a sound decision with a doctor that really cares about the whole you, for life, not just one segment that may or may not pass. Dr. Brown is a true health care partner and advocate, not just the dude in the white coat handing out orders.
Thank you Dr. Brown, and thank you Staff. You've changed my life in one week flat and I will be forever grateful. See you Monday for the rest of the journey!
