A relative of mine was in an automobile accident and required surgery due to a traumatic brain injury. Dr. Daus was outstanding in delivering high quality care to my cousin and, really, saved his life. He spent many, many hours in the operating room and afterwards my cousin's recovery was excellent. Our family was so grateful. I am not from the Joplin area myself, but when I spoke with another of Dr. Daus' patient's family members while in the intensive care waiting area, they were also very pleased with care from the doctor. Apparently, he gets swamped with trauma patients so he is pretty experienced and always busy. When he spoke with us on the night of the accident he was kind, sensitive to our concerns, gave us a clear understanding of the nature of the injury, what took place during the surgery, and what to expect during my cousin's recovery. He was sincere and we trusted him especially after he was in the operating room so long with my cousin. His dedication is remarkable.
I can recommend this doctor as an excellent surgeon with outstanding results; who is a professional in every sense of the word. I would suggest only that the hospital he works for market his talents more because what he does is priceless.
