Our former family physician (of about 20 years) sent us a letter that he was no longer practicing. We then went to two different doctors, and then found Dr. Valerie Johnson MD. We saw an add for the clinic in our church paper. She is an internist, as well as a pediatrician. The first time I saw her, she sat right down, and spent all the time I needed. The previous two doctors were so busy, one I could here running in the halls to see patients. Dr. Johnson sat and listened to everything I had to say. My children are grown, so I don't know how she is as a pediatrician, but she is very thorough as an internist. The previous 2 doctors would not write an order for me to have a bone density test. They said it was not necessary until I was 50 years old. I had a complete hysterectomy (including ovaries removed) at age 44, and all of the research I did said because of my age I should have one. She did not hesitate to write the order for me. I now see her for my annual physical, as well as yearly female exams. I could not be happier. My husband is very picky when it comes to doctors, and he is very happy with her as well.
