Dr. Louis Quartararo is a dual fellowship trained Orthopedic and Spine surgeon specializing in the art of minimally invasive surgery. He is Board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr. Quartararo attended the City College of New York/ City University of New York Medical School, along with Mount Sinai School of Medicine in a combined seven year program earning both B.S and M.D degrees.
Dr. Quartararo completed his four year orthopedic residency at Allegheny University of Health Sciences, Hahnemann University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA. His Fellowship training was accomplished at University of Maryland, Shock Trauma and Johns Hopkins University Bayview, both in Baltimore, Maryland.
Dr. Quartararo earned the title and honor of assistant Professor of Orthopaedic surgery while at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. In addition to his clinical duties at Jefferson he was active in clinical research and has been published both nationally and internationally in peer reviewed journals, and authored several chapters in numerous spine surgery text books.
