Dr. Penman is a "general" surgeon but has a passion for breast surgery. She did my lumpectomy and sentinal node biopsy in 2000 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. She also removed a mole from my back in 2003; and a needle biopsy on my breast in 2005. My original lumpectomy removed a 2cm mass from my smaller than average right breast and now, 6 years later, there is barely a scar!! Beautiful job! The mole removed from my back has NO scar whatsoever; the needle biopsy on my left breast also has an almost unnoticeable tiny scar. Not only is she wonderful in surgery, she is compassionate, caring, and spends time explaining everything. It is without hesitation that I would recommend this wonderful surgeon!!
