I began seeing Dr DiSaia when I was first diagnosed with cervical cancer while pregnant with my 4th child. The cancer came suddenly and progressed very rapidly. Dr. DiSaia came very highly recommended and even though I had to drive more than 2 hours to see him, it was so worth it. 4 months after my (very healthy, 10lb.) son was born, he performed a radical hysterectmy. I continued to see him every three months thereafter. Through the entire scary process, he was always kind, understanding, and sincere. But most of all he has this aire about him that exudes knowledge and experience, concern and compassion all wrapped up into one feeling that surrounds you, making you know, for sure, that you are in the best hands, no matter what happens.
I saw Dr. DiSaia in his Long Beach office, but he also has an office in Orange at the University of California Irvine medical center. He is also a Professor of Gynecologic Oncology.
During the follow up visits (after the initial surgery), he was always very thorough and easy to talk to.
I would recommend him to everyone and any of the doctors that he trained (I saw a few of them also while they were with him, and they all had many of the same qualities).
Not only do I owe him my life, but my son's too.
Was it helpful to you?
