I worked with Dr. Shubrook in the University Osteopathic Medical Center in Athens, Ohio, for 5 years. I became his patient during this time. He is skilled and 100% compassionate as he treats his patients. Each patient is very important to him. He is so busy in his practice because he does not limit his office visits to 10 or 15 minutes. He takes time to hear your heart and your ailments. He comforts you and rejoices with you. When my husband started having heart symptoms a few years ago, Dr. Shubrook started him on meds and then sent him to a cardiologist in Columbus, Ohio. The skilled cardiologist was very impressed that our family dr. had placed my husband on exactly the correct heart meds that he should have been taking. Dr. Shubrook is always available for his patients - he always works them into his already busy schedule. His diabetic research is dynamic - he got my husband started managing his type 2 diabetes and now my husband is no longer labeled a diabetic! Dr. Shubrook distinguishes himself from other doctors because caring for the patient is more important to him than counting how many patients he can see in a day. He offers quality care that far surpasses any other physician in our area. He is always cheerful, comforting, encouraging, friendly, trustworthy and diligent. He is amazing!
