I sustained several injuries to my lower lumbar including 2 herniated disks, fractured vertebrate and spondyliothesis. I knew I needed help and reached out to Dr. Fras. I was very fortunate to have chosen Dr. Fras for many reasons. First and foremost he was very professional from my initial visit in explaining my condition as well as informing me of my options to his follow-up post surgery care. He took whatever time my wife and I needed to have all of our questions answered and never made us feel as if we were taking too much of his time. In this day and age this is unusual. He was very empathetic to our concerns and addressed each and every question and discussed them at length. He was very easy to talk to and made us both very comfortable. I decided to have a anterior/posterior dual level spinal fusion after having all options explained to me. I scheduled the procedure and Amanda worked all of the details of pre-admission testing etc. for me and was very helpful as well.
Dr. Fras performed the surgery in Febuary and there were no complications. The surgery was successful as it now late June and I feel great. The recovery was difficult but having confidence in my surgeon helped with my approach to recovery. I knew he did his part and figured if I did my part things would work out. Dr. Fras was extremely good at communicating with my family during my nine hour surgery and reassured them and comforted them during his rest intervals. I am very appreciative of this and can't stress enough how much Dr. Fras and Amanda helped minimize the stresses of surgery for both my family and myself. My wife needed to leave the hospital during my surgery to care for our 11/2 year old and he offered to telephone her during the remainder of surgery to keep her informed. There was nothing he wouldn't do to help ease the stress and worry that accompanies surgery. After surgery he visited me daily and actually took a 10p.m. phone call from me about an issue I was concerned about during my hospital stay. What surgeon does that nowadays? This is an example of his one of a kind approach to his patients.
I feel Dr. Fras was unique in his approach with my case in that he never pressured me into geting surgery, he was very easy to talk to and he was terrific with my family before during and after surgery. He fixed my problem and gave me my life back.
I highly recommend you at least talk to him if you are considering surgery. At least you will know the truth and you'll meet a very caring person in the process.

I was involved in a big car vs truck accident and herniated 3 disc's in my lower lumbar section.After many hit and misses with lawyer reccomended specialist's,I found out about Dr Christian Fras.This fairly young doctor is straight forward and holds nothing back.When Dr Fras found what my problem was we discussed all options and only his reccomendation was what we finally agreed on.Dr Fras may scare some people with his aggressiveness,But when it came down to it,He was absolutely the best Dr I had ever dealt with! As a matter of fact while being prepped for surgery,Dr fras said just before I passed out that I could change my mind about the surgery,Reaffirming my belief that Dr Fras cares about his patients before a payday.To me,His payday comes when you do a follow up and he sees you walking without a cane or any assistance.Dr Fras was at the hospital everyday of my 11 day stay.Between surgeries,he would always stop by and check your progress.Anyhow my surgery was in 2003 and despite some of the worlds most respected neurologist's opinion that I would never return to a labor intensive career,I just followed Dr Fras' opinion and I Have indeed returned to the work force.In the end,you really are in the best of care when Dr Fras is your Doctor.PS a spinal fusion does hurt,but if you need it,let Dr Fras walk you through it.Thank you Dr Fras,Rory Gregory

Dr Fras is a gifted surgeon with bedside manor not found too often today. He is very skilled and quite confident. I have two new disks in my neck with a small titanium plate to correct two disk herniations. 3 weeks ago had little feeling in my right hand and toes. I was in constant pain. Dr Fras explained the entire process to me as though I were his brother or his best friend from high school or college. I feel great! Pain free! Christian Fras in my opinion is God at work through the hands of a very unique physician.

I highly recommend Dr. Fras, he is a very confident docter, who talks from the heart and is very straight forward in his beliefs. You will feel that you had heard the truth when you leave his office, know grey areas in his profession.

I highly recommend Dr.Christian Fras as a good and experienced surgeon.He operated my husband in his lumbar spine.My husband feels a lot better and went back to work and do his normal duties.Dr.Fras is direct and honest.He tells all the details what you expect after the operation.He is a very experienced as a surgeon.During our stay in the Hospital,he makes you feel comfortable.He is very patient,friendly and diligent.One thing that we really appreciate,we can always call him if we have question or need something from him.I recommend him to my co-workers.We live far away from Philadelphia but we dont mind coming back seeing Dr.Fras if we have physical problem again.He recommended rehabilitation for exercise but my husband did it the regular way and i was shock,it's like a miracle his back became stronger.My husband work as a Postal Carrier and he looks like he never had surgery.I thank Dr.Fras for being a good doctor.

I saw Dr. Fras for consultation for spinal surgery. He is a very gifted and trained surgeon. I did not have surgery with Dr. Fras, but met with him. He took considerable time with me at the end of the day. The consultation lasted an hour and he offered to see me back again to just discuss my surgery options. He is friendly, experienced, and very comforting. I can recommend him without reservation.
