I recently took my disabled brother to Dr Daniel Smith , for possible bed sores. My brother is 58 was born with Downs Syndrome and is severely mentally and physically challenged . He has recently just about completely stopped walking and has started getting pressure sores. I have been the care giver to my brother for 19 years .. and I've taken him to many doctors .. which to my sadness they've mostly rushed through treating my brother .. acting very standoffish and uncaring, with little to no patience.
I was just about ready to give up on finding a good caring doctor and I was feeling very distraught and depressed , I didn't no which way to turn to get my brother the proper care and attention that he needed and deserved. Then I found Dr. Daniel Smith.... Dr Daniel Smith and his nurses were like a miracle that we both needed so desperately. They were all so kind, understanding, compassionate and thorough and so very patient. Dr Smith not only wanted to help my brother , but he said to me .. "I want to make it easy on you also and I will work with you every step of the way guiding and directing you as you provide the care of your brother", he did his very best to make me feel good about myself and said he thought I was a wonderful person for dedicating the past 19 years of my life to my brother. ( I really needed to hear that. ) Dr Smith ..didn't leave a stone unturned and I feel extremely confident that my brother will finally get the medical care/treatment that he needs.
A very special heart felt thanks to Dr Daniel Smith and his nursing staff. You have all been a blessing to both, my brother and myself. From the very bottom of my heart, thank you, thank you , thank you !
