This is the best doctor I have ever met in my life. After very awful treatment from my previous doctor (I came very close to dying due to blood loss) when a friend recommended Dr. Hofman. He personally spoke to me on the phone and recommended that I come in immediately. I was so low on blood (I did not know you could bleed to death from a very long and heavy period) that he wanted to put me in the hospital for a blood transfusion. I really wanted to avoid that so he put me on medication that stopped the bleeding. Why didn't my other doctor do that? I was scheduled for surgery with my old doctor in a few days and Dr. Hofman said that with all of the blood that I had lost I would not make it through surgery. His daughter's bat mitzah was the next day and he called several times to check on me. After trying many procedures to avoid a hysterectomy, we finally decided that I would have a suprcervical laparoscopic hysterectomy (LSH). I had very little pain after this procedure. He still called my house to check on my condition after gettting released from the hospital. He is the most knowledgable, caring, comforting, kind doctor.
