I would definitely recommend Dr. Portz. He takes the time to explain issues to you in words that you can understand along with being comforting and always friendly. He performed a D&C and took the time to come in and see my husband & myself before the surgery. That is something that I had never seen before. His staff is also wonderful and so kind. I recommend him to anybody that I come across that is looking for a good gynecologist. Dr. Portz is definitely that!!

I was very at ease and made to feel important by Dr. Portz and his staff. My questions were easily answered and I felt he was very thorough in his explanations. Surgery day could not have gone more smoothly, even went in sooner than scheduled! He performed a vaginal hysterectomy/Dr. Usitalo performed the pubovaginal sling portion of the operation. These two gentlemen have performed this operation over 250 times in 2006 alone, very established and recommended highly to me, and by me from now on. Dr. Portz had flowers sent on behalf of he and his staff as well (something the nurses tell me he does for every patient)! Made me feel like quite the princess :-}!

I have been a patient of Dr.Portz for the past 2 years. He has performed an endometrial ablation and hysterectomy (vaginalhysterectomey dueto prolasped uterus, adenomeiosis and endometriosis) along with cauterization of endometriosis and repair of grade 3 cystocele, rectocele, and enterocele. He is honest and direct, takes time to answer all of my questions in as much detail as I wish to receive (which is plenty!), and explains all options clearly. I am a person with a lot of baggage around medical issues, and Dr. Portz has taken the time to learn about these issues and to advocate effectively for me in the medical setting. Although I suffered for years with medical conditions causing pain and severe impact upon my professional and personal lives, I found relief when I found someone as skilled and compassionate as Dr. Portz. As a result, I recommend him highly.
