We went to a fertility doctor in Oklahoma City, but since he did not want to do anything different after our 3rd IVF we went to Dr. J. Michael Putman in Dallas. I admire him & highly recommend him. He had an entirely different IVF protocol, & we felt he really wanted to get us pregnant. He checked us for everything (all sorts of lab tests) & he is the one that discovered I have hypothyroidism which effects fertility. He also discovered by doing a laparoscopy that I have endometriosis & a fibroid which also effects fertility (prior to the laparoscopy I was having horrible cramps before my period-the surgery took the pain away). He was highly recommended by a family friend & since, we have found out a couple of our Dallas friends have gone to Dr. Putman too. I've heard that other doctors send patients to Dr. Putman when the patients are difficult cases.
Overall, my husband & I felt that we had done everything to try to get pregnant with Dr. Putman. If our 4th IVF did not work, we would not have had any regrets & felt we did everything we could. I just can't verbalize how much we admire Dr. Putman & his team/staff.

After years of problems due to uterine fibroids I have finally met a doctor that can really help me! 2 yrs ago I had a very invasive myomectomy to remove 2 softball size fibroids. Unfortunately, my doctor found more fibroids, inside the uterus, last Fall. He suggested that I meet with Dr. Putman for his expertise. Boy am I glad that I did. My, extremely minimally invasive, surgery was such a breeze compared to the last. Once inside, Dr. Putman discovered that I had 13 fibroid tumors instead of 3. He took his time with my surgery. At this point, I will still have a long road ahead. I am 33 and have yet to have children, but I know that with his fertility expertise, I am in good hands. For more info please go to www.drputman.com
