Dr. Jackson is an amazing doctor that I highly recommend! He treated me for endometriosis and performed a complete hysterectomy on me after my condition only got more severe after years of treatment. I was 25 years old at the time of my hysterectomy, which is why we tried treatment for so long before getting to that surgery.
The following are qualities that stood out to me that makes Dr. Jackson a wonderful doctor:
1) Great listener. Dr. Jackson always listened to what I had to say about my symptoms and my concerns, and never discounted my feelings. I had had other doctors before him try to tell me that the pain was "in my head", but Dr. Jackson never did that to me. I always felt validated.
2) Great explanations. Dr. Jackson always used easy to understand language in a straightforward way to explain to me what was going on in my body and with the treatments. He has a great repertoire of metaphors that always helped me to understand the conditions of my body while putting a smile on my face. I also appreciated the fact that he didn't sugarcoat tough options or news.
3) Gentle hands. This is VERY important for an OB/GYN.
4) Highly skilled surgeon. Dr. Jackson performed my total hysterectomy. No complications during or after, and my recovery went very well. It's been just 5 years since my hysterectomy, and I have not had any problems or pain since then!
5) Dr. Jackson is very approachable and his demeanor makes him very comfortable to talk to. I've been to other doctors where you feel like you are nothing but an inconvenience to them the moment they walk in the exam room, but Dr. Jackson never rushed me, was never too busy for me, and always seemed glad to see me again.
All in all, I would highly recommend Dr. Jackson. He is very knowledgeable, a very skilled surgeon, is very approachable and sets a patient at ease through his demeanor, and listens to what one has to say.
