Dr. Weaver was very caring and polite. The Family Foot and Leg Center also has a relaxed atmosphere. If I would experience any pain or discomfort in my foot or ankle I would definitely go to her.

I first heard of Dr. Gerut through my dentist who repeatedly told me that I did not need a nose job and that I was beautiful. Well, my wonderful Jewish dentist finally realized that I agonized over my big, fat italian nose for years so he mentioned to me that his cousin had a nose job and her nose was gigantic and it is now smaller and beautiful. So, I checked out her Dr Gerut. I had a good feeling about Dr. Gerut when I first met him, but, decided to get another opinion...just to be sure. I then called to schedule my surgery date with Dr. Gerut when I left the second opinion's office ( I was that sure ). I had a beautiful nose that I still so proudly show off to everyone who knew my 'old nose'. Well, that was January 10, 1997 (birthdate of my new nose), 2 sucessful referrals and 13 years later, I decide that I need a boob job! Dr. Lichtinger has a very calming manner . He performed a painfree endometrial biopsy on me and called to tell me the results were cancer. I did not freak out , only because of the manner in which he was able to communicate with me. He not only treats patients with gynecological cancer, such as myself, but he is trained to perform the DaVinci surgery. My recovery pain was minimal. He is also an obstetrican who specializes in at-risk pregnancies. A very intelligent doctor, a very kind man.

I have been a patient of Dr. Marefat’s for several years now. My first experience with Dr. Marefat was back in 2002 when he did my tummy tuck. I was very pleased with the results and nine years later it still looks great. In the last two years I have lost a significant amount of weight so I went in and had a breast lift, implants and a few months later had liposuction on my inner thighs. I have to say I am extremely pleased with all the results that I have gotten. Dr. Marefat is a skillful, kind, compassionate doctor. He has always made me feel completely comfortable and that was very important to me. His staff has always treated me with respect, kindness and is very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend Dr. Marefat without hesitation to anyone.

The body is very complex and DrSaracino has learned it extremely well. He is very thorough in asking about symptoms and then investigating the touch points to find the source of the problem. I've had two primary sports injuries that he has corrected. One injusry from the extreme golf swing is out of alignement cervical vertibrae. The other is back spasms from running and golf. Not only does he correct the problem and relieve the pain but each time I've been treated my body feels more neutral and relaxed. I've been to at least six different chiropractors because of relocating and DrSaracino is the best I've found anywhere. Best is defined as having my pain relieved the fastest and most completely. I feel confident that he can help me with any physical pain or injury that doesn't require surgery or drugs.
This had to have been the best doctor's visit I've ever had. Her knowledge, patience, demeanor, kindness, and time spent with us was extraordinary. She explained all my options and put us at complete ease. She truly is the best doctor I've ever been to. So glad that she is now my OB/GYN.
Thanks Dr. Brian Timm for a job well done. Now, I can walk normally. Dr. Timm was very informative and caters even to minor cases professionally. I'll surely recommend Dr. Timm to my friends and relatives for any minor or major foot and ankle problems.

I was referred to Dr. Segretti after Dr. James Rowland(also a wonderful doc) found a rapidly growing uterine tumor. People said I should go to UPMC. Well, I couldn't be more pleased with my care. Dr. Segretti is a talented surgeon surgeon and a caring person. Her staff are also very nice to work with when you are stressed finding out you have cancer. The staff at West Penn have been great. I am so glad I chose to stay with my West Penn doctors - this is an unpaid and unsolicited endorsement.
PS: I am a nurse as well as a patient.

I have been a patient of Dr. Saracino since 1986. Dr. Saracino is both very knowledgeable and loves his profession. Dr. Saracino has sometimes modified his schedule to grant me an appointment when my back and neck go into spasm. I would highly rate Dr. Saracino and would recommend his services.
Dr. Kokocki is a cardiothoracic surgeon at the James Haley VA in Tampa FL. He operated on a family member. We appreciate his dedication to his patients as well as the time spent answering questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Kokocki to any veteran needing surgery. He truly cares for his patients.
OMG, I know I am late, but I am so sad to hear of the passing of Dr. Childs! I have read the many stories and I too have a similar story. As a child growing up, I was often limited when playing outside with my brothers. I would run in the house to my mom and complain about severe pain in my stomach. I would explain that it felt like a knot was in my side. For a while, my mom would suggest I take a break and return outside. Well, after this went on for a while, my mom became concerned and took me to the doctor. They found nothing. That issue continued up to my high school years. I played Volleyball and would have to call time out to sit on the bench due to this pain. Well, in 2004, my last year in college, I could not take it any more; my mom and I went to Brookwood to get to the bottom of this issue. It's been awhile (about a week) since I was complaining of having pain in my big toenail. I didn't realize that it was already red and swelling. It reached to a point that it was so tender to touch and I can't hardly walk. I was so thankful that a friend recommended me to Dr. Lam. So I had my check up and he looked into my toenail. I already had an ingrown toenail. He said that if I didn't had my check up the soonest, it may reach to having a minor surgery, which would cost more and be more painful. He was very professional and well-versed. He was also kind and entertains to his patients well. I would also recommend Dr. Lam to problems to your foot and the like. I had my routine check up and slowly gaining full recovery. Thanks Dr. Lam.

Dr. Manchester's plastic surgery skills are fantastic. He has spent many years in his specialty, and it shows in his work. I am his bookkeeper, and will be a patient myself next summer. I had plans to see a plastic surgeon in the future, and looked forward to the opportunity to get to know one as a client. Knowing him now, and seeing what he can do, he is not only a great client, but an ever better surgeon, whom I will trust with my life. Working in the office, I see his patients who are always satisfied with his great work (and have seen the results firsthand myself). I even recommended my own Dad to him! He is a great guy, can come off as harsh at times, but he just tells it like it is, and that's the way lots of people need to be told. No beating around the bush with Dr. Manchester. Dr. Manes has been my OB/Gyn for a few years now. FOr the last 10 years, I've had pain that no one before her could put a name to. Dr. Manes gave my condition a name, which made me feel better, knowing that finally someone believed me and that my pain was real. She was the only Dr. that seemed to really understand endometriosis and how it affected my body. She went on maternity leave when I had a mass excision, and while the attending Dr. was good, she wasn't Dr. Manes and the whole manner of care just wasn't the same. Dr. Manes understands, plain and simple. She is very cheerful, comforting, friendly, trustworthy, experienced, diligent, and it feels like chatting with a friend when you are with her. Not many women look forward to going to the gyn, but Dr. Manes makes it bearable! She performed my hysterectomy last month (after me putting it off for 3 years), and I was in my own bed by 5:00 p.m. the same day. Her skills are amazing.
