I had problems with uterine fybroids for ten years and finally elected to have a hysterectomy. While other doctors had pushed for surgery, Dr. Stephens gave me time and information to allow me to make a decision right for me. Unlike other doctors, she did not remove my ovaries even though I was 57 at the time of surgery. She checked them and said there was not reason to remove healthy ovaries. This made my recovery much easier.
